Failure to provide the information required to be provided in accordance with this Act or the National Bank Act or the rules, regulations, instructions or orders issued under it or failing to submit the documents and details required to be submitted within the specified time or during monitoring, inspection or supervision for the National Bank or its activities Banks or financial institutions that do not provide the documents, details, data or records requested by any official appointed by the National Bank within the prescribed period may be fined by the National Bank as follows:- (a) One hundred thousand rupees per day for two weeks after the deadline has been exceeded, (b) One hundred thousand rupees per day for one month after the deadline has been exceeded. twenty-five thousand rupees, (c) one hundred and fifty thousand rupees per day whenever the period of clause (b) exceeds. In case of violation of the National Bank Act or the rules, regulations or instructions or orders or conditions issued under it or if the National Bank does not implement the instructions given by the National Bank in accordance with clause (b) of sub-section (3) of Section 99, the National Bank may fine up to ten lakh rupees depending on the nature and seriousness of the violation. (3) If the bank or financial institution does not inform the Rashtra Bank within three days from the date of receiving the information of the decision, the amount of the fine imposed as per sub-section (1) shall be deducted from the amount in the account opened by such bank or financial institution in the Rashtra Bank. (4) Sub-section (4) According to 1) and (2), the cash penalty received by the National Bank shall be deposited in the government fund.
